Our client, the Medical organisation of a global biopharmaceutical company, sought to empower their US-based Medical Science Liaison (MSL) team by enhancing their presentation skills, especially for high-stakes engagements with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and external stakeholders. Recognising the need to elevate the team’s confidence and expertise, we developed a workshop-based programme harnessing video-based feedback and role-play scenarios reflecting real-world situations.

We conducted interviews with each MSL to assess their specific development needs to ensure that the programme was appropriately tailored. Informed by these interviews, we designed and delivered a 2-day workshop focusing on authenticity in communication, distilling complex information, employing storytelling, and presenting effectively without visual cues, particularly in online settings with limited audience feedback.

Outcomes:

The programme was highly successful, with the MSL team gaining significant confidence and skills to handle a broader spectrum of critical interactions, including advisory board presentations.
